Product Information: All you need to know about our microbial fogging service

Commercial Microbial Fogging

We specialise in fogging schools, boarding establishments, hotels, hospitals and offices during periods of breakouts and spread of viruses (such as coronavirus, influenza, meningitis etc). Certification is provided after treatment. We can also assist businesses in office complexes and companies that suffer from “sick building syndrome” in the winter months.

Domestic Microbial Fogging

Fogging, in the domestic situation, is only meant to be done initially to achieve total disinfection, such as moving into a new home or after illness in the family. Thereafter it can be repeated once every 6 months if necessary, or when the situation calls for it. For example, if a condition being kept under control by the fogging (such as allergies, dustmites, mould) begins to worsen, or if an outbreak of disease or viral infection occurs in the home.

Our Microbial Fog

  • Our Microbial Fog is non-toxicnon-corrosivenon-causticnon-stainingnon-carcinogenic and pH neutral. It won’t stain clothing, counters, etc.
  • The microbial fog prevents the build up of pathogens even after it has been applied, so it does have a residual effect. A pathogen is a microbial organism that spreads disease (all of those listed below). All have been tested and documented by the South African Bureau of Standards.
  • People, food, plants and pets do not need to be removed whilst fogging your business premises or home, although you may choose to vacate.
  • It is perfectly safe to be in the room while we are fogging (the fog will cause you to cough but is not harmful). This product is fogged in infectious wards of hospitals while the patients are still in the wards. The only exception is Asthma or Emphysema sufferers, or those suffering from other respiratory problems.
  • We have a type of “litmus paper” test that we can show you at the time of fogging to confirm efficacy of the application.

How it works: The Fogging Process

Quotation

Once you have contacted us and we have gathered all the necessary information we need, we will issue you a quotation for your premises. When you choose to undergo the fogging we will then begin to communicate further to set a suitable date for our specialists to come in and fog the space.

Set A Date

We check with the client to set a suitable date for the fogging to take place. Although the fog itself is actually harmless to humans, it does cause a slight cough and for this reason we insist that our clients leave the premises for the duration of the fogging, which is entirely dependent on the size of the area being treated.

Fogging Process

Our fogging specialists will arrive at your premises and begin preparation. Once they are ready to fog, they will ask you and your staff to please leave the area for the duration of the treatment. This is to ensure that there are no snags in the process and that the treatment is as effective as possible, killing all pathogens, viruses and bacteria on every surface it comes into contact with.

On Completion

On completion of the treatment our specialist will supply you with a Litmus Paper Test, demonstrating the amount of active ingredient which can be found on the treated surfaces and thus proving to you the efficacy of the treatment and ensuring that there are no pathogens left in the area. Door hangers will be used at the entrances to those areas treated indicating the efficacy of the treatment.
